On the Go Snackin' With Nuby {a&n Product Review}

If one thing is for sure, running errands and being on the go with my kids isn't an easy task.  Both my kids love getting out of the house, but they also love running the aisles of Target like madmen or asking to be "in" then "out" then "in" then "out!" of the shopping carts... it's true chaos when I'm not prepared.

Luckily, I've learned a few tricks to keep things at a minimum level of chaos while we're out, and snacking is one of those secret distractions.

Discovering Downtown LV

Every year, the Life is Beautiful festival comes to downtown Las Vegas, and with it comes a ton of street art that artists create weeks before the actual festival happens.  With LIB right around the corner (next weekend!), and after seeing a bunch of awesome pictures on Instagram, I decided I wanted to venture downtown to check out the cool scenes and see what kind of stuff we could find ourselves.

We stopped for breakfast at Donut Bar and pigged out on some amazing donuts (they are so good), and then walked around to find some spots I had in mind to check out.  Of course I wanted to take pictures of the kids, because what better backdrops for them than fun colored painted walls!?

We came across the teal bus exhibit first, which I knew Nolan was going to love.  His first question was, "Why is it broken!?"  We had to explain how sometimes art means that things can be broken, because it can be something important to the person who made it, and that art can mean different things to different people.

My favorite were the pastel colored storage bins stacked on one another, and we also visited a couple other mural walls along the way- some solids and one really fun black and white pattern with some neon tossed in!

It was a great morning exploring downtown, doing something out of the norm for us.  Downtown has definitely changed over the years, and I'm glad they are trying to revitalize it as best as they can and bring some much needed culture into the city.  The kids were so spent that we didn't even have time to play at Container Park like we wanted to, and they both zonked out in the car on the way home.  The Espejos were planning on meeting us down there, but they had to cancel last minute, so we're definitely planning a raincheck and I am looking so forward to it, since there's so much more to discover!

For now, enjoy the pictures I snapped of our morning out, and be on the lookout for more in the next few weeks, because this was way too much fun to pass up going again!
