Easy Bath Time Fun with Nuby Bath Crayons {a&n Product Review}

As the kids grow older, especially at the ages and stages we're currently in (ages 4 and 1.5), bath time becomes more challenging and quite a bigger mess, with larger splashes, louder yells and extra fighting over toys... a peaceful bath typically turns into chaos and myself cleaning the kids as quick as I can just to get them out ASAP!

Fortunately, the Nuby Bath Crayons turn bath time into the complete opposite experience, which is AMAZING! A once crazy, intense bath time vibe suddenly transforms the tub into a fun art studio, where the kids actually sit, draw and color all over their surroundings, allowing their creativity to flow.  I love that I can wash them up while they play and doodle, engage in conversation with Nolan about what he's creating and review the vibrant colors with Acelyn.

Each crayon is encased with a plastic holder, and can push up the crayon as it wears down.  When we first opened these, I'll admit that I thought they would last a round or two.  Yet, to my surprise, the crayons lasted well over a month, being used frequently at bath time (and my kids aren't gentle on them, either).  The one issue we did have was the crayons falling out of the casings every now and then, but the kids didn't seem to mind and would continue using either without the plastic casing, or asking for my help to put them back together.

The main question (and worry!) I had upon handing these little gems over to the kids... how big of a mess would it make and will it stain?!  Stain my walls? The tub? Their skin?!  The results... all positive!  Do they make a mess?  Absolutely!  Do they clean up easily?  100% yes!  It's such a simple clean up process, that I just hand both kids a washcloth to wipe down the surfaces, and it's easily their favorite part!  We've even left crayon overnight and it still wipes up just as easy.

The Nuby Bath Crayons come in a set of 5 fun and vibrant colors, and are for ages 3+, although Acelyn plays with these at 20 months and does just fine with them.  They are BPA Free and can be found at the following retailers:

If you're looking to switch up your bath time routine for a more relaxed one, definitely check out these Bath Crayons to strike up your child's imagination and creativity!  I love going into bath time knowing they can entertain themselves while I watch them scribble away and play along- rather than struggle and get soaked like before!

Side Note:

You can see in the background of our pictures the adorable Nuby Hippo Spout Guard (not in use).  We were so bummed to find out that this guy only fits on select types of shower/tub faucets, and unfortunately doesn't fit any of ours in our home.  That's not to say the kids still don't enjoy playing with him!  They typically fill the hippo up with water and pour it back out over and over, and when you close the hippo's mouth, water squirts out of his nose!  Also BPA Free and with a soft, protective cover, the Hippo Spout Guard can also be found at:
