January Happenings

Well, we're already in March and I've already fallen waaaaay behind with keeping up on on the monthly updates... but, such is life!

Here's how our first of the year started out!

Acelyn looked super grown up overnight, and adorable as ever.

We had a lunch date with Grandma at Jason's Deli, where Acelyn learned the word "dip" and how to successfully dip her grilled cheese and chips in tomato soup. We finished up with ice cream cones for dessert (the best!)

She napped so sweetly with Pooh (the new favorite) and passed out from a full lunch.

We had a Pop Drink and park date with the Luks, where Acelyn refused to share her drink with anyone because she was obsessed with it.  The kids ran their energy out before we headed home, rested up, and met back up with our friends for a night out at Gen Korean BBQ.

Nolan had his first tee ball game, and did SO well!  He's come a long way from his soccer season, and he willingly participated during tee ball this time around, was excited about it and is actually really good!  He has a natural arm and can throw well, and his favorite part is running the bases.  These boys look so cute dressed in their tiny uniforms!  We can't wait to see how he does the rest of the season.

We had some rainy and cloudy weather, where the clouds covered the mountains by our house and Acelyn loved feeling the rain drip on her head!

We spent a morning playing dress up, fighting bad guys and feeding babies.

Acelyn played hard at the park while we took some of Nolan's 4 year photos.

We prepped for Nolan's party by practicing our karaoke skills and getting pictures and decorations ready for the weekend (and I just about bawled my eyes out going through his yearly birthday pictures)!

We let Nolan choose his birthday dinner, so he picked Freddy's, where we had burgers and birthday ice cream!

Nolan turned four and we celebrated with a SING Karaoke and movie party, and he had the best day ever!

The next morning, he got right to playing with all of his new toys and trying out his new big boy bike!

I loved his decorations so much, that we kept them up for most of the week following!

Nolan hurt his head and asked for an ice pack, so naturally, Acelyn had to have one, too.

Girlfriend started a terrible habit of shoving food up her nose.... it must run in the family, because Jason was always known for doing the same when he was little.  I had to pull this mini M&M out of her nose one afternoon.  Yikes.

Acelyn has been loving her Gymcats gymnastics class at the rec center, and her favorites are the balance beam, the trampoline and slide.

Nolan rocked out another tee ball game, and the weather was SO cold, we all bundled up to watch and then got the heck out as soon as we could to warm up!

(He hits the ball, runs to the base, picks up his own ball and throws it back... Ha!  Not quite, buddy!)

Another weekday, and another day of dress up!  The kids played so well together.... days like this make Momming easy and my heart happy!

Nolan made the cutest projects at Preschool when they learned all about the Rainforest.

Harley looked sweet laying in the sun, so I snapped a few pictures of our little pup.

At tee ball practice, the boys warmed up with throwing and Acelyn was in her own soccer world.

We spent a morning at Cadence Park and explored the lake area before hitting up the playground.

Later that afternoon, I heard crazy laughter coming from the spare bedroom, so I knew something was up.  As I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised with confetti all over the place, and the kids having the time of their lives. Instead of getting mad, I shrugged it off and let them play... and then decided a Valentine's Day photoshoot was going to happen in the next few days to make up for it!

Acelyn looked huge and so pretty while napping one afternoon.

Another Saturday, another tee ball game!

I attempted the said Valentine's Day photoshoot, which was absolute chaos, but the kids had a blast and I got some good pictures... so it was a win despite the hour-long pick up of confetti afterwards!

We met up with the Luks at the park for a Sonic picnic, and Acelyn was dead serious about her root beer float mustache she was sporting.

Nolan had yet another haircut, and as always, asked for his picture to be taken with his lollipop afterwards.

We ended the month with some sweet sharing and playing nicely together... which is always a win!

...Until next month!
