Bump Watch: 12 Weeks

I knew I wanted to document this pregnancy in a fun way week by week, and good ol' Pinterest had lots of ideas to go off of.  I kept it old school and decided to use the chalkboard calendar, so week by week I'll be taking pictures of the baby bump and tracking it's growth, as well as doing the little survey to go with each week!  Here's our very first one.... 12 weeks!

How far along? 12 weeks, 0 days
Total weight gain: None!  I'm hoping I won't have too hard of a time gaining poundage soon!
Maternity clothes? I've already had to break out the belly band... (thanks, Jess!)  None of my pants fit the same, and I'm lucky to button the button!  I've had some maternity shirts from before, because Target maternity is cute and I used to wear it before I was even pregnant.
Stretch marks? None yet!
Sleep: Love it!  I could sleep every second of every day and be completely satisfied with life.
Best moment this week: Confirmation from Dr. J that everything is going well and that we can share our news with confidence!
Miss Anything? Hot dogs... I've wanted a hot dog since the day I found out I was preggo.  I probably could eat it with no worries... but why take the risk is my motto!
Movement: Nothing, a little too early for that!
Food cravings: Cocoa Krispies.  I've gone through almost a whole box in less than one week.  Oops.  Fast food, mostly hamburgers... I'm not on the best track record with staying healthy this first trimester!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Super hit or miss.  Chicken is not my best friend right now, although if it's a crispy chicken sandwich from Wendy's, that's a whole 'nother story.... :)
Gender prediction: I've thought for a few weeks now: Girl.  My body and my symptoms tell me otherwise that it should be a boy... but my gut definitely is telling me girl.  Jason also has the same prediction!

Labor Signs: Not even close!
Symptoms: Not many!  I've not once had morning sickness, but dizziness is picking up for me and I've been having nightly migraines the last few evenings (which I've read is completely normal).  Totally bloated and my boobs have definitely grown!
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Mostly happy, but I will admit I have some pregnancy hormones that rage every now and then!  Actually, I'm mostly exhausted!  Does that count as a mood?!
Looking forward to: Sharing our news with the world this week!

June Happenings

June was pretty.... uneventful this month!  Between my fatigue and Jason working lots of overtime and studying for his REHS exam, we did a whole lot of resting and staying locked up in the house.  Sad, I know, but it was kind of refreshing to nap all afternoon on Saturdays and let the house get dirty for the first time ever!

We did catch a few movies this month at the Galaxy Luxury Theatre.  Jason had really been wanting to see Star Trek, and to much of my refusal, I finally caved in and watched the first one on DVD one Friday night.  I ended up liking it so much that I willingly agreed to go the next day to see the new Star Trek movie in theatres.  It was actually pretty good (nerd alert!) and Jason obviously knows my choice in movies more than I know myself!

We also saw World War Z, which I absolutely loved!  After watching The Walking Dead a few months back, we knew we would be totally into this movie, and it definitely didn't disappoint.

We hung out with our friends a few weekends, and had some of our close friends from out of town visit.  Dustin and Desa went to UNR with us (Dustin went to high school with us, also), and we've become super close with them in the last few years.  They moved to San Francisco two years ago, so it was great getting to catch up with them and hang out again!  We enjoyed some breakfast at Bread and Butter and went out to Fremont Street and the Fremont Street East district with them one night.   We're hoping to return the favor and visit them in San Fran in September.

Unfortunately, I have no pictures to go with any of these events!  Boo.  Hopefully next month I'll have some renewed energy and we'll have a bit more going on to share!

Breaking the News... Work Announcement!

We currently have another girl at work that is pregnant, and it has been a long kept tradition at the surgery center that once someone becomes pregnant, it's no surprise to find another one following suit (sometimes even more than one)!  With that being said, I decided to make my announcement having something to do with "Don't drink the water!"  I ran with the idea and came up with this way to announce my pregnancy at work!

I placed it strategically over the sink, as well as left some treats for everyone to enjoy.  And no, I'm not having twins.... not knowing the gender yet, I used both pink and blue, but I think some people thought I had both in my belly!

It was fun getting creative and sharing the news for the first time with people other than our close friends and family.  Pretty soon, we'll be announcing to the world!  Be on the lookout for yet another fun announcement!
