Tis the Season... For Lights!

The start of the holidays has officially begun now that December is here, and we took the opportunity to visit the Ethel M Cactus Garden to celebrate!  Jason had never been to the cactus garden, and it had been many years since the last time I had visited, so we were excited to see how it would be.  I knew Nolan would love it because he loves to watch the lights in our neighborhood and around our house, and I was so right!

We went out to eat at Aloha Kitchen, picked up some coffee and hot chocolate from McDonald's and made our way over to Ethel M.  It wasn't too cold so it was the perfect weather to be outside.  As soon as Nolan saw the lights from the parking lot, he freaked out!  He started screaming and pointing, and couldn't wait to get a closer look.

Once we started walking through the lights, Nolan made it very clear that he loved the lit up reindeer. He would point and laugh so hard from his stroller, so I figured he would enjoy it even more if we took him out to get up close.  He definitely loved the reindeer the most, but was amazed by all the lights surrounding him and couldn't stop babbling, screeching and laughing.

We stopped to take some family pictures, and on our way through the forest, met up with some blow ups that Nolan also really enjoyed.  His favorite was the giant polar bear and penguins!  We skipped on the Santa Claus line since it looked super long, plus Nolan had already met with him the week before and wasn't the biggest fan... Maybe next year!

Before we left, we made sure to get some more pictures of little man in front of the lights.  Although he was teething really bad (his shirt is covered in drool and couldn't keep his hands out of his mouth!), he gave us some cute "Cheeeeeese!" pictures which showed just how much fun he had at the Cactus Garden!

We can't wait to make this a yearly tradition, and hope that Nolan likes it every year as much as he did this year.  If you've never been, definitely check it out!  It's worth it!
