September Happenings

Nolan started out the month by practicing his balance and dancing against the furniture!  Of course he had to look adorable doing so.

We ate some pumpkin puree to start off the fall season, and snacked on some cheese, too (his fav!):

I got a start on some fall decorating and celebrated with one of my favorite holiday beers... Octoberfest!  It had been waaaaaaay too long since I had enjoyed one of these since last fall I was preggo!

Over the holiday weekend, we had new carpet installed!  The carpet that was in our house was the original carpet from when the house was built and was getting pretty nasty.  Now that Nolan will be mobile soon, we figured it was now or never!  We took the plunge and love how our end result looks. It's super fluffy and soft, and we love how it completes the house!  Harley seems to enjoy it, too. :)

Nolan practiced standing against furniture again, and found this game to be way too exciting!  He loved "falling" on purpose and rubbing his face into the ottoman.  Silly boy!

Nolan stood for a long time playing with his activity table, and gave me the "Mom, seriously!?" look while I took pictures of him.

We did laundry and took selfies, and goofy little man thought it was hilarious to wear mommy's bra on his head.

Nolan gobbled down on pasta for the first time and he LOVED it.  He was super happy while he ate the whole time... too cute!

Nolan got rescanned for his helmet since we took a 2 week break, and this time, he sat super still and enjoyed having the funny sock on his head!  My little avatar took some cute pictures of getting rescanned:

We met up with our friends Erin and Jeremy for dinner at Settabello one night, and Nolan wanted to take a picture with his auntie (who he wouldn't let hold him and screamed when she did).  At least he was happy for the picture!

We spent an afternoon at Bass Pro Shops and Nolan loved every second of it.  He spent forever watching all the fish in the tanks, and talked to them while sitting and observing their every move.  We walked around the whole store and Nolan made a fox friend, and also saw lots of different animals (unfortunately not alive).  Finally, we walked over to the Aquarium at the Silverton and Nolan got his flirt on with the mermaids swimming in the tank!  It was a fun day and we will definitely be back to visit much more in the future!

Nolan modeled off his outfit of the day one afternoon:

Nolan started cruising the furniture this month!  All that practice of standing against the furniture has started to pay off...

He was silly and wore a swaddle blanket as a hat:

He made a huge mess in the living room and wanted to show his friends on Snapchat:

We took more pictures of lunchtime because that seems to be when Nolan is at his cutest, messy or not!

Nolan perfected his pout and whine, and I finally got this sad face on video:

I continued decorating for fall and got my craft on!  I made a burlap fall leaves bunting garland, and also got a head start on my Halloween wreath.  I love how both of them came out!

Nolan was the absolute cutest bookworm when Daddy let him wear his glasses one weekend morning in bed:

Nolan got his new helmet and decided to take it for a spin with his walker!

We played peek-a-boo under his activity table, and he really loves playing boo from around the corner:

We spent an evening at the park, getting Nolan acquainted with the swings and slides.  He was hesitant on both at first, but warmed up to them after a few minutes.  Now that the weather is nice out, we'll be spending lots more time outside and at the park!

We cheered on the Ravens on game day and Nolan sported his gear:

Nolan cruised around with his walker and hasn't stopped since!  He was being crazy, screaming and making the funniest noises, so of course I had to take pictures.  He posed so well for me and hammed it up for the camera, as always.

Jason and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary at the end of the month, and we treated ourselves to an awesome dinner at Bacchanal, which is the largest (and probably most expensive) buffet on the Strip.  Nolan stayed with Grandma, and we spoiled ourselves with time alone and good food.  The dessert bar was by far my favorite and I may have overindulged and went into a food coma.  It was SO delicious and we ate way too much!  We can't believe what the first two years in our marriage has brought us and can't wait for many, many more years to come.

...Until next time!!
