October Happenings

With the start of the holiday season, this month was a bit busier than the last few months we've had!  Fall is our favorite season: we have the best weather, college football and NFL every weekend, pumpkin patches, decorating, and the start of a busy, busy holiday season!

To begin the month, our work helped Denise celebrate her baby girl's arrival with a baby shower held at our administrator's house across town.  We managed to snap a few pictures of our belly buddies!  Denise has been 10 weeks ahead of me through our pregnancies, and it's been great to compare our pregnancies as well as have someone to talk to about all things baby at work!  Once Nolan gets here, we'll definitely get together for some play dates!

Me @ 26 weeks, Denise @ 36 weeks!

We continued our tradition of visiting Gilcrease Orchards to pick our pumpkins and begin our fall season!

After we spent the day at the orchard, I got in the Halloween spirit and decorated the inside and outside of the house, and we decided to snap a few pictures of the bump since the weather was so nice outside!

27 Weeks

Harley took a nap in Nolan's nursery chair and looked super cute and comfy!

I may have splurged on the cutest outfit for baby boy at H&M....

We continued to make progress on Nolan's nursery, and most of it is complete, minus a few crafting details and getting everything together once we celebrate our baby shower next month.  I am so happy with how everything has been coming together for his room and the theme!  And Jason has been extra helpful, helping put up shelving and hanging pictures on the wall with me.  We love how it's coming along!

It's not finished yet, but it's a start on his collage wall!

At my 28 week appointment, I got to take the lovely Glucose Screening Tolerance Test.  Everyone complains at how awful this drink tastes and how horrible the test is... I had no problem chugging this baby down in 2 seconds!  It tasted like flat orange soda and wasn't the greatest, but I definitely was expecting much worse!  They draw blood an hour after to test for gestational diabetes and how the body handles high amounts of sugar.  So far, I've yet to receive a phone call from the doctor's office, so I think I may have passed and don't have gestational diabetes, which is great!

We got to see an inside look (literally!) at what baby Kelton is doing in my belly and how much he's grown at our 3D/4D Ultrasound!  I think this has been both mine and Jason's favorite moment of this whole pregnancy.  Simply amazing, and we are so in love with this baby already!

Finally, we celebrated Halloween at the end of the month!  Harley dressed up as a cowboy and was really serious about his costume...

I dressed the bump up for work and was happy that it was big enough to pull off the pumpkin well!

Halloween night, we joined the Luks' and went Trick or Treating with them in their neighborhood (which is three seconds from our neighborhood).  We did this last year and again this year, so I'm sure we'll be making a yearly tradition of trick or treating with all the kiddos as the years go on!  Scarlett and Hudson were dressed up as Sully and Mike from Monster's Inc.  So cute!!  Scarlett didn't want to take many pictures, but Hudson sure did ham it up!

The next two months are going to be even busier with the holidays coming up, plus preparing for baby!  I can't believe we're almost down to two months until his arrival!  We can't wait!!
